Before Using:

When deciding to use a medication, the benefits must be weighed against the potential risks. This is a decision that you and your doctor will make together. For testosterone topical gel, consider the following:

Allergies:
Inform your doctor if you’ve ever had any unusual or allergic reactions to this or any other medicines. Additionally, disclose any allergies to foods, dyes, preservatives, or animals. For non-prescription products, carefully read the label or package ingredients.

Pediatric:
Studies have not established the safety and efficacy of testosterone topical gel in children.

Geriatric:
Current studies have not shown specific geriatric-related problems limiting the use of testosterone topical gel in the elderly. However, elderly patients may be at an increased risk for heart, blood vessel, or prostate problems (including prostate cancer), requiring caution during treatment.

Breastfeeding:
Studies have shown harmful effects on infants when this medication is used by breastfeeding women. An alternative medication should be considered, or breastfeeding should be discontinued while using testosterone topical gel.

Drug Interactions:
Certain medicines should not be used together, while others may be used concurrently with caution. When taking this medicine, inform your healthcare professional if you’re using any of the following medicines, which could potentially interact with testosterone topical gel:
